About the Founder

Katie Jones

With ten years of experience as a public school theatre educator, a role that earned me an Excellence in Teaching award, I understand the nuances of public funding and the realities of community advocacy. Realizing I loved the work behind the scenes, I went on to earn my Master of Public Administration (MPA), specializing in nonprofit and arts administration.

Today, I use my expertise to help nonprofit directors, board leaders, and creatives build stronger, more professional organizations. I believe that when cultural and educational initiatives have stable, well-managed foundations, communities thrive. My job is to provide the strategy and structure to make that happen.

My Philiosophy

Rigor Meets Whimsy

My professional personality is equal parts Elizabeth Bennet (sharp, strategic, and acutely observant) and Nigel Thornberry (exuberantly enthusiastic, slightly eccentric, and deeply fascinated by the world).

I bring that blend of sharp intellect and kitschy joy to my consulting work. Let’s be honest: if I can command a room of middle school theater students, survive doing local stand-up comedy, and successfully pitch public funding grants, I can certainly help your organization navigate its next big hurdle.

Where I Find Inspirtation

Off the Clock

  • Under the hood, working on my 2001 solar yellow Jeep Wrangler

  • Thrifting and upcycling second-hand clothing or sewing my own clothes

  • Wandering through natural history museums, zoos, and aquariums, fueled by a love for the natural world and a lifelong dedication to finding wonder in the unexpected.
